Mechanical assembly and piping of the Direct Reduction (DR) tower that will be part of the new steel production plant that German steelmaker Thyssenkrupp Steel Europe is building at its complex in Duisburg, Germany. The new plant will have a production capacity of 2.5 million tonnes of Direct Reduction (DR) iron and is designed to operate 100% with green hydrogen, marking a significant step forward in low‑carbon steel production. This innovative Direct Reduction technology will enable savings of up to 3.5 million tonnes of CO₂ per year.
